Advancing Patient Care, Sustaining the Future

At the heart of our sustainability mission is contributing to society, avoiding harm and bettering our business. Our goal is to foster innovation while respecting our environmental and social responsibilities.

Our Science-Based
Climate Commitments

Tristel’s climate goals are independently validated and aligned with the latest climate science, providing a clear pathway towards long-term emissions reduction and net zero.

SBTi
Validated
Our climate targets have been officially validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), confirming alignment with the 1.5°C pathway and global net zero ambitions.
2030
Target
We are committed to reducing Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 42% by 2030.
2045
Goal
We aim to achieve net zero emissions across all scopes by 2045.
Net Zero
Target
Through our SBTi-validated climate targets, we are helping healthcare providers reduce supply chain emissions on the pathway to net zero by 2045.
-83% Production
Waste Emissions
From 2022 – 2025 emissions associated with production waste have fallen by 83% through smarter recycling initiatives and more sustainable waste management practices.
Manufactured with
100% Renewable Electricity
Products manufactured at our UK headquarters are produced using 100% renewable electricity, helping reduce carbon emissions from the start of their lifecycle.
UK Made
Transported Responsibly
Products are transported by land and sea rather than air wherever possible, reducing distribution-related carbon emissions.
Recyclable
Packaging
Our bottles and paper-based packaging materials are manufactured from 100% recyclable materials, All product cartons manufactured and packed by Tristel are sourced from FSC-certified suppliers.

The Tristel Trio Wipes System
Product Lifecycle

Understanding environmental impact means looking at the complete picture. The Tristel Trio Wipes System has been assessed across its entire lifecycle, from raw material sourcing through to end-of-life disposal, providing transparency and supporting informed sustainability decisions.

Materials

From raw material extraction to component processing, responsible sourcing plays an important role in reducing environmental impact.

Production

Manufacturing processes, resource consumption, emissions and waste all contribute to a product’s environmental footprint. The Tristel Trio Wipes System that is manufactured at our headquarters uses renewable electricity, using renewable electricity, helping to minimise emissions from production.

Storage & Distribution

Transportation can significantly influence lifecycle emissions, making efficient logistics an important consideration. Products are transported by land and sea rather than air wherever possible, reducing distribution-related carbon emissions.

Use Phase

Zero Emission Use: The Tristel Trio Wipes System requires no water and no electricity during use, generating no carbon emissions during the decontamination process.

End of life

Consideration of end-of-life outcomes is essential in creating a more circular healthcare economy. Our bottles and paper-based packaging materials are manufactured from 100% recyclable materials. All product cartons manufactured and packed by Tristel are sourced from FSC-certified suppliers.

Tristel has completed its first ISO 14067‑certified Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) for our flagship Trio 50 – The Trio Wipes System which is independently verified.

Reducing Waste with
Reusable Solutions

Sustainability improvements can deliver measurable environmental and operational benefits. The Emergency Department at Wyong Hospital implemented daisygrip to save money, reduce waste and the carbon footprint attributed to healthcare as well as improve staff morale through taking steps to address climate change.

1.5 Tonnes of Waste Saved per Year
The reduction in single‑use tourniquets equates to an estimated 1.5 tonnes of waste saved.

$23,600 Annual Cost Savings
Estimated savings achieved assuming a consistent trend, ~2.5 months for daisygrip to pay for itself.

Peace of Mind for Staff
Feedback was universally positive and staff felt good about taking steps to tackle climate change.
