AS/NZS 5369:2023 sets the Australian and New Zealand requirements for reprocessing reusable medical devices. Under the standard, non-critical devices, including ultrasound transducers that contact intact skin, must undergo either low- or intermediate-level disinfection.

Tristel DUO NCU utilises our proprietary chlorine dioxide chemistry, a well-documented and highly effective biocide which breaks down and destroys microorganisms by damaging its cell wall and hence microorganisms cannot build resistance to ClO₂.
It has two separate compartments that contain 125ml of Tristel Base Solution (citric acid) and 125ml of Tristel Activator Solution (sodium chlorite). Upon pressing the pump, the two solutions mix and Tristel Chlorine Dioxide chemistry is generated.
Our Chlorine Dioxide does not form hazardous by-products or halogenated compounds.
