Le endospore batteriche sono tra le forme di vita microbica pi\u00f9 resistenti e la loro persistenza nell\u2019ambiente ospedaliero rappresenta un crescente rischio infettivo<sup>1,2<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Un modo per ridurre questo rischio \u00e8 implementare una procedura di decontaminazione efficace utilizzando un <a href=\"https:\/\/tristel.com\/it-it\/prodotti\/\">disinfettante sporicida<\/a><sup>3<\/sup>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Come capire se un disinfettante \u00e8 davvero sporicida?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-cosa-prevedono-le-norme-sull-efficacia-sporicida-in-europa\" class=\"wp-block-heading has-purple-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-b53d65c7da729cbb86dca651da2e3c07\">Cosa prevedono le norme sull&#8217;efficacia sporicida in Europa?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La norma<strong> <\/strong>EN 14885 fornisce un quadro di riferimento, delineando gli standard ed i test obbligatori richiesti per supportare dichiarazioni antimicrobiche specifiche, comprese quelle sporicide. Secondo la EN 14885, affinch\u00e9 un prodotto sia classificato come sporicida, deve superare i seguenti test<sup>4<\/sup>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>EN 17126<\/strong>: Il test quantitativo in sospensione che dimostra le propriet\u00e0 sporicida del disinfettante.<code> <\/code><strong><kbd>Questo test \u00e8 alla base di qualsiasi dichiarazione sporicida<\/kbd>.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A partire da maggio 2025, \u00e8 diventato obbligatorio un test aggiuntivo e specifico per i prodotti applicati con azione meccanica (es. Salviette imbevute, spray,  liquidi), che include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>EN 17846<\/strong>: Il test quantitativo su superficie con l\u2019uso di salviette dimostra che il disinfettante, applicato tramite salviette, mantiene la sua efficacia sporicida su una superficie.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Entrambi i test &#8211; EN 17126 e EN 17846 <\/strong>&#8211; sono necessari per supportare in modo credibile e conforme un prodotto in salviette che dichiara efficacia sporicida<sup>4,5<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-non-tutte-le-formulazioni-chimiche-hanno-efficacia-sporicida\" class=\"wp-block-heading has-purple-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-b1f61c6cc084649aa15a5f4c39b1c5ac\">Non tutte le formulazioni chimiche hanno efficacia sporicida<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00c8 noto che le sostanze ossidanti, usate in ambito sanitario, abbiano capacit\u00e0 sporicida, ma ci\u00f2 non vale per altri tipi di disinfettanti<sup>6<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I composti di ammonio quaternario (QAC) sono ampiamente utilizzati in ambito sanitario per le loro propriet\u00e0 battericide, fungicide e virucide (solo per i virus con pericapside). Tuttavia, non sono in grado di inattivare le spore<sup>7<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Secondo CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c<em>Non sono sporicida e generalmente non sono tubercolicidi o virucidi contro i virus idrofili (non incapsulati).<\/em><sup>8<\/sup>\u201d \u2014 Chemical Disinfectants | Infection Control | CDC<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Il motivo risiede nel loro meccanismo d\u2019azione: i QAC distruggono le membrane microbiche. Tuttavia, le spore non hanno membrane attive e sono racchiuse in un rivestimento altamente resistente, che le rende intrinsecamente impermeabili all\u2019azione dei QAC. Sebbene alcuni studi suggeriscano effetti sporostatici (inibizione della germinazione), ci\u00f2 non equivale ad attivit\u00e0 sporicida, ovvero la capacit\u00e0 di eliminare la spora stessa<sup>7<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-qual-e-l-impatto-per-gli-operatori\" class=\"wp-block-heading has-purple-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-5fa790feeb88df7f3d84575cd253bc57\">Qual \u00e8 l&#8217;impatto per gli operatori?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le dichiarazioni di efficacia sporicida basate solo sulla EN 17846, senza evidenza della EN 17126, sono <strong>incomplete e potenzialmente fuorvianti.<\/strong> Un test su superficie da solo non \u00e8 sufficiente per indicare una vera attivit\u00e0 sporicida<sup>4<\/sup>, oltre che condizioni variabili possono influenzare l\u2019efficacia del prodotto<sup>10<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Non si tratta solo di superare un test, ma di <strong>garantire la sicurezza del paziente attraverso la corretta applicazione della scienza e della normativa<\/strong>.
