Ils rendent les agents pathog\u00e8nes plus tol\u00e9rants aux m\u00e9thodes classiques de nettoyage et de d\u00e9sinfection. Les d\u00e9sinfectants Tristel \u00e0 base de dioxyde de chlore ont \u00e9t\u00e9 sp\u00e9cifiquement \u00e9valu\u00e9s pour leur efficacit\u00e9 contre les biofilms. Une fois install\u00e9s, les biofilms sont particuli\u00e8rement difficiles \u00e0 \u00e9liminer. Leur pr\u00e9sence ne constitue donc pas seulement un probl\u00e8me de nettoyage, mais bien un v\u00e9ritable enjeu de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 pour les patients. Les biofilms agissent comme des r\u00e9servoirs d\u2019organismes multir\u00e9sistants (OMR), les prot\u00e9geant des antimicrobiens. Ils favorisent le transfert horizontal de g\u00e8nes. Cela acc\u00e9l\u00e8re la propagation de la r\u00e9sistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les bact\u00e9ries retrouv\u00e9es dans un biofilm peuvent \u00eatre de 10 \u00e0 1 000 fois plus r\u00e9sistantes aux antibiotiques que leurs formes planctoniques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Selon certaines \u00e9tudes, les biofilms seraient impliqu\u00e9s dans pr\u00e8s de 65 % de l\u2019ensemble des infections microbiennes. Ils sont pr\u00e9sents dans pr\u00e8s de 80 % des infections chroniques. Ainsi, ils favorisent la persistance des infections, renforcent la r\u00e9sistance aux traitements et augmentent le risque de contamination crois\u00e9e. Leur pr\u00e9sence sur les dispositifs m\u00e9dicaux, les surfaces environnementales ou encore dans les r\u00e9seaux d\u2019eau peut provoquer des infections associ\u00e9es aux soins (IAS). Ils repr\u00e9sentent une menace importante pour la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 des patients.<sup>1,2<\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/tristel.com\/fr-fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/22\/2025\/08\/Biofilms-Blog-Post-2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10808\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:12px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-purple-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-471d9a633ea8df8dcbb9aee4a1488e4a\" id=\"h-tous-les-biofilms-sont-ils-identiques\">Tous les biofilms sont-ils identiques ?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Bien que tous les biofilms soient des communaut\u00e9s de micro-organismes envelopp\u00e9es d&#8217;une matrice protectrice, leur composition et leurs propri\u00e9t\u00e9s peuvent varier. Ils peuvent regrouper des bact\u00e9ries, des levures, des champignons, voire des virus. Souvent constitu\u00e9s d\u2019une ou de plusieurs esp\u00e8ces, les biofilms sont capables de persister sur une surface pendant de nombreuses heures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong data-start=\"117\" data-end=\"141\">Les biofilms humides<\/strong> se d\u00e9veloppent dans des environnements riches en humidit\u00e9. Dans ces milieux, les micro-organismes trouvent l\u2019eau et les nutriments n\u00e9cessaires \u00e0 leur prolif\u00e9ration. Ils produisent une couche visqueuse de substances polym\u00e9riques extracellulaires (EPS). Cette couche est compos\u00e9e de polysaccharides, de prot\u00e9ines et de lipides qui les enferme dans une matrice protectrice. Les biofilms humides sont typiquement compos\u00e9s de bact\u00e9ries \u00e0 Gram n\u00e9gatif telles que <em>Pseudomonas aeruginosa<\/em>. En milieu de soins, ces biofilms peuvent se d\u00e9velopper sur et dans les canaux des dispositifs m\u00e9dicaux r\u00e9utilisables, ainsi qu&#8217;\u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur des conduites d\u2019eau, dans les \u00e9viers, les douches, les toilettes et sur leurs surfaces environnantes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong data-start=\"151\" data-end=\"172\">Les biofilms secs<\/strong> regroupent des micro-organismes capables de se d\u00e9velopper dans des environnements pauvres en humidit\u00e9 et en nutriments. Soumis \u00e0 ces conditions hostiles, ils acqui\u00e8rent une r\u00e9silience accrue. Contrairement aux biofilms humides, ils se forment sur des surfaces o\u00f9 l\u2019humidit\u00e9 est minimale. Ceci inclut certains \u00e9quipements m\u00e9dicaux ou des surfaces environnementales s\u00e8ches. Leur d\u00e9tection et leur \u00e9limination sont particuli\u00e8rement difficiles. En effet, leur \u00e9tat sec les rend plus r\u00e9sistants aux proc\u00e9dures classiques de nettoyage et de d\u00e9sinfection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/tristel.com\/fr-fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/22\/2025\/08\/Formation-biofilm-FR-scaled.png\" alt=\"Illustration des biofilms\" class=\"wp-image-10804\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:12px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-purple-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-74d3efc18440835f32ba85b7fb0409ec\" id=\"h-agir-directement-sur-les-biofilms-grace-au-dioxyde-de-chlore\">Agir directement sur les biofilms gr\u00e2ce au dioxyde de chlore<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Il existe diff\u00e9rentes m\u00e9thodes permettant d\u2019\u00e9valuer l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 d\u2019un d\u00e9sinfectant contre les biofilms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour les <strong data-start=\"246\" data-end=\"266\">biofilms humides<\/strong>, l\u2019essai MBEC (ASTM E2799) et le mod\u00e8le CDC (ASTM E2871-22) sont utilis\u00e9s. Ces tests permettent de mesurer la performance des d\u00e9sinfectants contre <em data-start=\"397\" data-end=\"420\">Staphylococcus aureus<\/em> et <em data-start=\"424\" data-end=\"448\">Pseudomonas aeruginosa<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les d\u00e9sinfectants Tristel \u00e0 base de dioxyde de chlore ont \u00e9t\u00e9 test\u00e9s selon ces m\u00e9thodes sur des biofilms cultiv\u00e9s pendant 72 heures. Ils ont d\u00e9montr\u00e9 une r\u00e9duction \u2265 4 log<sub>10<\/sub> avec l\u2019essai MBEC et \u2265 5 log<sub>10<\/sub> avec le mod\u00e8le CDC. Une telle efficacit\u00e9, \u00e0 la fois rapide et robuste, constitue un atout essentiel dans les strat\u00e9gies que mettent en place les hygi\u00e9nistes. Pour l&#8217;hygi\u00e8ne hospitali\u00e8re, l&#8217;efficacit\u00e9 et le gain de temps doivent aller de pair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour les <strong data-start=\"950\" data-end=\"967\">biofilms secs<\/strong>, les performances du dioxyde de chlore ont \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9valu\u00e9es \u00e0 l\u2019aide du mod\u00e8le CDC (ASTM E2871-22). Cette m\u00e9thode est modifi\u00e9e par un cycle de d\u00e9shydratation\/r\u00e9hydratation de 12 jours. Elle permet de mieux reproduire les conditions et contraintes r\u00e9elles pos\u00e9es par les biofilms secs. L\u00e0 encore, tous les d\u00e9sinfectants Tristel \u00e0 base de dioxyde de chlore ont montr\u00e9 une efficacit\u00e9 \u00e9lev\u00e9e.
