Les endospores bact\u00e9riennes comptent parmi les formes de vie microbienne les plus r\u00e9sistantes, et leur persistance dans l\u2019environnement hospitalier repr\u00e9sente un risque majeur d\u2019infection\u00b9\u02d2\u00b2.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Il est possible de r\u00e9duire ce risque en mettant en \u0153uvre des proc\u00e9dures de d\u00e9contamination efficaces reposant sur des <a href=\"https:\/\/tristel.com\/fr-fr\/products\/\">d\u00e9sinfectants sporicides<\/a>\u00b3 valid\u00e9s et fiables. Mais comment d\u00e9terminer si un d\u00e9sinfectant est r\u00e9ellement sporicide ?<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"color: #42276c\">Comment les revendications sporicides sont-elles r\u00e9glement\u00e9es en Europe ?<\/h2>\n<p>La norme <strong>EN 14885<\/strong> d\u00e9crit en d\u00e9tail le cadre ainsi que les normes d\u2019essai obligatoires auxquels un d\u00e9sinfectant doit r\u00e9pondre pour pouvoir revendiquer une quelconque efficacit\u00e9 antimicrobienne. Conform\u00e9ment \u00e0 la norme EN 14885, tout d\u00e9sinfectant revendiquant une activit\u00e9 <strong>sporicide<\/strong> doit, au minimum, satisfaire \u00e0 deux tests sp\u00e9cifiques\u2074 :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>EN 17126<\/strong> <strong>(Phase 2, \u00e9tape 1)<\/strong> : \u200bIl s\u2019agit d\u2019un test quantitatif en suspension visant \u00e0 d\u00e9montrer l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 du d\u00e9sinfectant contre les spores. Ce test constitue une condition pr\u00e9alable indispensable \u00e0 toute revendication d\u2019activit\u00e9 sporicide.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Depuis <strong data-start=\"1281\" data-end=\"1293\">mai 2025<\/strong>, et sp\u00e9cifiquement pour les produits appliqu\u00e9s par essuyage, un nouveau test pratique est devenu obligatoire pour les revendications sporicides :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>EN 17846<\/strong> <strong>(Phase 2, \u00e9tape 2)<\/strong> :Ce test quantitatif sur surface, r\u00e9alis\u00e9 sur quatre champs d\u00e9montre que le d\u00e9sinfectant conserve son efficacit\u00e9 sporicide lorsqu\u2019il est appliqu\u00e9 dans des conditions repr\u00e9sentatives de l\u2019usage r\u00e9el, sur une surface contamin\u00e9e.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Les tests\u00a0<strong>EN 17126<\/strong>\u00a0et\u00a0<strong>EN 17846<\/strong>\u00a0sont <strong>tous deux requis<\/strong> pour revendiquer\u00a0 <strong>l&#8217;efficacit\u00e9 sporicide<\/strong> d&#8217;un produit appliqu\u00e9 par essuyage\u2074\u02d2\u2075.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"color: #42276c\">Toutes les chimies ne sont pas sporicides<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1960\" data-end=\"2100\">Il est reconnu et d\u00e9montr\u00e9 que les substances oxydantes peuvent \u00eatre sporicides, ce qui n\u2019est pas le cas d\u2019autres types de d\u00e9sinfectants\u2076.<\/p>\n<p>Les <strong>compos\u00e9s d\u2019ammonium quaternaire (CAQ)<\/strong> sont largement utilis\u00e9s pour leurs propri\u00e9t\u00e9s bact\u00e9ricides, fongicides et virucides, notamment contre les virus envelopp\u00e9s, ainsi que pour leur faible co\u00fbt. <strong>Cependant, ils sont incapables de tuer les spores<\/strong>\u2077.<\/p>\n<p>Concernant les compos\u00e9s d\u2019ammonium quaternaire, les <strong data-start=\"2383\" data-end=\"2447\">Centres pour le contr\u00f4le et la pr\u00e9vention des maladies (CDC)<\/strong> pr\u00e9cisent :<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201c<em>Ils ne sont pas sporicides et g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement pas tuberculocides ni virucides contre les virus hydrophiles (non envelopp\u00e9s ou nus).<\/em><sup>8<\/sup>\u201d \u2014 D\u00e9sinfectants chimiques | Contr\u00f4le des infections | CDC<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Cela s\u2019explique par leur mode d\u2019action : les CAQ perturbent les membranes microbiennes. Or, les spores ne poss\u00e8dent pas de membranes actives et sont prot\u00e9g\u00e9es par une couche extr\u00eamement r\u00e9sistante, qui les rend imperm\u00e9ables au m\u00e9canisme principal des CAQ\u2079. Bien que certaines \u00e9tudes sugg\u00e8rent des effets sporostatiques (inhibition de la germination), cela ne correspond pas \u00e0 une v\u00e9ritable activit\u00e9 sporicide \u2014 c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire la capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 \u00e9liminer la spore elle-m\u00eame\u2077.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"color: #42276c\">Qu\u2019est-ce que cela signifie sur le terrain ?<\/h2>\n<p>Les revendications d\u2019efficacit\u00e9 sporicide bas\u00e9es uniquement sur la norme <strong data-start=\"3265\" data-end=\"3277\">EN 17846<\/strong>, sans preuve selon la norme <strong data-start=\"3306\" data-end=\"3318\">EN 17126<\/strong>, sont incompl\u00e8tes et potentiellement trompeuses. Un test de surface seul, comme l\u2019EN 17846, ne suffit pas pour revendiquer une v\u00e9ritable activit\u00e9 sporicide<sup>4<\/sup>, d\u2019autant plus que les conditions variables peuvent affecter l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 du produit\u00b9\u2070.<\/p>\n<p>Il ne s\u2019agit pas seulement de r\u00e9ussir un test, mais bien de garantir la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 des patients gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une application correcte de la science et de la r\u00e9glementation en vigueur.
