Het gebruik van antibiotica kan echter het natuurlijke evenwicht van de darmflora verstoren. Deze vermindering van de microbi\u00eble diversiteit bevordert de groei van <em>C. difficile<\/em> en de productie van toxines die de darmwand kunnen beschadigen en diarree verzoorzaken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De meeste infecties ontstaan tijdens of kort na een antibioticakuur. In ziekenhuisomgevingen, waar veel pati\u00ebnten antibiotica krijgen, bevordert de aanwezigheid van <em>C. difficile <\/em>terugkerende uitbraken. Personen met het grootste risico zijn degenen die:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Al eerder een <em>C. difficile-<\/em>infectie hebben gehad<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>65 jaar op ouder zijn<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recent in het ziekenhuis of i een woonzorgcentrum verbleven hebben.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Een verminderde weerstand hebben (HIV\/ aids, kanker of een orgaantransplantatie met immunisuppressieve behandeling).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Deze factoren maken van <em>C. difficile <\/em>een belangrijke microbi\u00eble bedreiging, voornamelijk voor kwetsbare bevolkingsgroepen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><\/strong><strong>Wist je dat?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ongeveer \u00e9\u00e9n op zes pati\u00ebnten die een <em>C. difficile<\/em>-infectie hebben opgelopen, binnen de twee tot acht weken opnieuw ge\u00efnfecteerd wordt.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-hoe-word-ik-overgedragen\" class=\"wp-block-heading has-purple-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-b5d93afbbb70b8cd0a5058fa2fe0b0f4\">Hoe word ik overgedragen?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De infectie treedt op wanneer iemand in contact komt met een oppervlak besmet met ontlasting aanraakt en daarna zijn handen naar de mond brengt. Ook zorgverleners kunnen de bacterie via besmette handen op pati\u00ebnten overdragen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-hoe-kan-je-jezelf-beschermen-tegen-mij\" class=\"wp-block-heading has-purple-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-538d5665fbfa654f52f7005c59cc3180\">Hoe kan je jezelf beschermen tegen mij?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Om de verspreiding van<em> C. difficile<\/em>-infecties te voorkomen, moet je altijd je handen wassen met water en zeep na een toiletbezoek en voor elke maaltijd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gebruik, indien mogelijk, een aparte badkamer en douche met zeep. Was vuile kledij en linnengoed apart, op de hoogt mogelijke temperatuut. Reinig toiletten, potstoelen en hun omgeving na elk gebruik met een ontsmettingsmiddel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><\/strong><strong>Wist je dat?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De sporen van <em>C. difficile<\/em> kunnen tot 5 maanden overleven op oppervlakken, omdat ze bestand zijn tegen de meeste ziekenhuisdesinfectiemiddelen en klassieke decontaminatiemethoden.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Desinfectiemiddelen met een <strong>sporicide werking<\/strong> zijn daarom essentieel in de strijd tegen <em>C. difficile<\/em>-infecties. De aanbevolen aanpak is het gebruik van een high-level desinfectiemiddel met een robuuste en breedspectrum biocide chemie. Dit desinfectiemiddel moet in staat zijn om een aantal <strong>bacteri\u00eble sporen<\/strong>, de meeste schimmelsporen, alle courante vegetatieve bacteri\u00ebn, mycobacteri\u00ebn, gisten en virussen te elimineren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-en-17846-de-claim-tegen-c-difficile\" class=\"wp-block-heading has-purple-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-8c57f0cad7b1657cb8d0818c58bf5210\">EN 17846: D\u00e9 claim tegen <em>C. difficile<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De EN 17846 norm vormt de referentie op het gebied van sporicide werking tegen <em>C. difficile. <\/em>Als een desinfectiemiddel met succes voldoet aan de EN 17846 norm, kies je oor een middel waarvan de doeltreffendheid onder praktijkomstandigheden wetenschappelijk aangetoond is tegen <em>C. difficile<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Onze sporicide desinfectiemiddelen voor
